2004 Firefighter of the Year

Roy Tompkins

Chief John Didelot is pleased to announce that the 2004 recipient of Belltown's Firefighter of the Year award is Roy Tompkins. Each year, the Chief selects a Firefighter of the Year from nominations made by the membership. This year Roy Tompkins was nominated by his peers because of his outstanding loyalty and service to the department. Roy has served as both an Active and Associate member of the department since joining in 1981. In 2004 he became the senior active member of our newly reorganized Fire Police division. Roy is one of those volunteers that can always be counted on both by the department and his fellow members. We congratulate Roy Tompkins on winning this award.
